A Writer’s Thoughts…
I started reading at around four years of age, and by age nine I was playing word games I’d made up to keep myself entertained. As a “lonely only” child, when I began to feel especially lonely, I’d sit on our front porch with a pencil and paper and write down synonyms for words, such as “dark,” “light,” “strong,” “weak.” Nope, I didn’t even know what a synonym was, but thinking about alternate ways to phrase something was fun. Did you ever play word games? Do you still? If so, let me know.
